Week 0 — Diagnose your baseline

Before you build a study plan, take a free diagnostic practice test. Record your percent in each section. The section with your lowest percent gets the most study time in weeks 1–4.

Most first-time test-takers see Reading 65%, Math 50–60%, Science 40–55%, English 65–75%. If your baseline matches that pattern, weight your weekly time roughly 40% Science, 30% Math, 15% Reading, 15% English.

    Weeks 3–4 — Question drills

Drop content review to 30 minutes per day. Spend 60+ minutes per day on practice questions with full rationale review. Target volume by section:

Weeks 5–6 — Mock exam phase

    1. Take one full-length timed mock exam every 3–4 days.
    2. After each mock, spend 60–90 minutes reviewing every missed item and 10–15 correct ones you guessed.
    3. Use the TEAS score calculator to project your composite from section scores.
    4. If your composite is below your target school's cutoff, repeat week 3–4 drills on your weakest two sections for 5 more days.
    5. 48 hours before the exam: stop studying. Sleep, hydrate, light review only.

    Test-day execution

    • Eat a real breakfast 90 minutes before the exam.
    • Arrive 30 minutes early with two government IDs.
    • Skip-and-flag any item that costs more than 90 seconds; return to it at the end.
    • Use process of elimination — eliminating one wrong answer raises your odds to 33%.
    • Never leave an answer blank — there's no penalty for guessing on the TEAS.
